Wildlife Habitat
Students conducted an on-site investigation of a Chesapeake Bay Island created for shorebirds, terns and waterfowl. They learned about the islands wildlife, which includes fox, eagles, Terns, Canada Geese, and Osprey. They learned about the construction of the island, they also participated in activities that helped them identify both land and water species. They learned about the human impact on the environment and how restoration of natural habitats helps to increase wildlife populations.
